My summer holidays 2003
I finally took some time off after finishing my book.
I decided to go to Maui on a raw retreat, and I so relaxed! Here are some
of the lovely pics I took.

Juliano's Raw restaurant! This is in Santa Monica. Had a great time here,
and was so excited when I went in that I was shaking. Maybe I should get
out more... That's Leo and Juliano and then someone else. Juliano is famous
for his outstanding food creations and his very flat belly.

This is a cashew apple. See the blob on the end? That's the cashew nut.
The apples normally taste nice, but this one was a bit manky. Felt good
harvesting it from the tree, though. This was in Woody Harrelson's land,
where we stayed for a few days.

Here's a cat eating grass. It was munching for about 10 minutes. Cats
eat grass! See, told you so!

Dave with a coconut. Now then. This is what they do, these coconut men
in Mexico. They get the top off and you suck out the water. Then the men
crack open the coconut, and score each half in quarters, peeling it from
the shell. Then they add salt, chili and lime and then you eat it. Then
you eat another one. Then you get 4 to take home with you. Well, we did.

Harrison's burial at Red Sands beach. Cor, do you know, we were at one
beach and the coppers came and told us to put our clothes on! Took my
name and address and told me it was illegal to be naked in public in the
USA, so I gave him a dressing down about going against the laws of nature.
A much more powerful force. I asked him "Can I keep my top off"
and he said I couldn't. Told him that was sex discrimination, and he just
goes "I don't know about that ma'am, I'm just doing my job".
Imagine working a job where you don't question its values. I can't imagine...

Our morning harvest. Me and the lads went hunting, and got this jackfruit,
some sugar cane, and the lychees. We also got some coconuts earlier. Cor,
imagine living like this every day! Loved it!

Hollywood's a weird place -- the streets are totally empty of people walking.
