2005 -- June's snippets 10th June 2005 -- Blimey. How long does it take to buy a house in England? Still not in new house, still having to live in Bedford whilst holding my breath coz of all the takeaways on this street. Am hoping to be in new house in a couple of weeks. Can't wait. Took a fab piccie of Evie yesterday! Bless her in her summer dress and matching pants. She got her first tooth last Wednesday. Breastfeeding has taken an interesting turn. She bit me today and drew blood, the little vampire. Oh, so much to say but am exhausted so taking it easy for a few days. Will write about event and all other stuff in the next few days. Love to all...xxx Another distressing story alert... Check this out... Am not commenting either way as I don't know these people, but you can make your own minds up if you want to help. I've just been asked to let people know. BUT... if this is true, then it's so worrying that an obviously healthy child is taken away from its parents so easily. These parents did nothing wrong! I tell you, if I lived in the USA I wouldn't dare write what I do on this site about Evie. It's scary what strangers can do to a family, just because they don't eat burgers. 30th June 2005 -- Oooh, I have a rare moment of peace. Right, here's life in a nutshell. Got date for moving, finally will be back in Cambridge on 7th July. Am v excited about it, and can't yet find a van to move me. Am calling on moving angels to help. Am up to eyeballs in packing boxes, and trying to sift through Matt's stuff that's overtaken my dressing table! All will be well. Am thinking house will be sparse as I've not too much furniture to fill a big 4 bed place. May have to go zen. I'm reorganising my business at the mo, as it's going just totally bonkers. By the end of the year we should have 10 employees, so watch this space if you're interested in working for us. There are several opportunities. But let me get into my house first. Mmm. Must have housewarming/naming ceremony/1st birftay party all at once to get it over and done with and only have to vaccuum once after everyone's gone. Will organise that. Great news, got a very good mate who's also a live food chef and an all round very capable person coming to live with me and work for me. Thank you, angels for that one. Wasn't wanting it to be just me and Evie in the house, she deserves more people around her, little social butterfly that she is. Evie teevie Evie's now got two teef. So in the mornings when I get brushing, I give her her toothbrush and we sit together and brush together because she copies mummy. Very cute. So I used to go "Come on darling, let's brush your tooth" and now it's "Come on darling, let's brush your teeth" Now, according to the Philips advert, so needs a sonicare teethbrush! Oh, that's what I have, and she's not getting her mitts on it, not at 100 squid a go. Our spring event Now, must tell you about the event we had. Lost camera (found it after the event) so have no pictures, but if anyone who was there wants to send me them, I'll put them up here. There were about 50 of us, it was sunny most of the time, we had a love tent filled with ball pond balls, a mini-bouncy-castle, games, and all this fun and raw food. The food cost us a total fortune, but my god it was worth every penny. Got the dried stuff from Goodness Foods, and the fresh stuff from Oestre near Norwich. They're on an airfied so father was quite excited about picking that up!! They had to cross a live runway. We partied til 3am with great pumping chooooones (don't I sound hip and groovy). Si and Lisa, my dad and Me were on suma and cacao, and we all had raw hot chocolate drinks and great cacao brownies. Ended up with father giving mutha her first ever massage from him -- what a vibe that cacao and suma gives off! I was dancing with Reuben (very gorgeous 7 year old son of Kate Wood), Lisa was dancing with anyone who'd dare go near her, and there was a lot of happiness. Even my auntie and uncle started dancing at about 2am (resigned to the fact that they wouldn't get any kip). Loved it. For me, the highlight was that party night, especially the pass the parcel. We'd made a whole parcel, like a great big ball full of pressies. If someone had won and the music stopped again on them we'd all go "You've already won so you have to pass it on" I think you had to be there. Anyway, we had a surreal trip to the beach, the fastest ever nature walk, where Evie ended up being carried like a princess in her chariot by Vance (who came all the way from Canada especially for the weekend), and some fantastic talks by Kate, Suzi and I think I said a thing or two. Was totally shattered afterwards, but we now know what we need to do for our super-duper event next year. We'll be hiring out a place and having a chef, and we've got so many things lined up like a portable spa area and stuff. Oh, I can't wait, but I won't wish a year away, I'll just sit back and think how amazing the time and the people were. If you came to the event, you truly made it special -- thank you so much!
