13th August -- Ooops, haven't written for ages. Moving house certainly took a major effort. Haven't had time to pee, let alone write... Anyway, we had 3 parties last Saturday, and it was fabutastic. We had Evie's naming ceremony, Evie's first birthday party (can you believe I've kept a child for a year!!!) and our house-moving party.

I have to admit, I was a little stressed by organising such a thing. Especially as me and Matt were doing the naming ceremony ourselves. V wanted to come and do it, but travel and children logistics won over. Shame, but we had a wonderful personalised ceremony and everyone said how much they loved it.

Anyway, if you're interested in doing your own naming ceremony and want to know what we wrote if you're stuck, let me know and I'll put it up here. Fab it was. I customised Evie's pseudo-bridesmaid's dress from Jane's wedding and put all little gold stars in the hem of the netting.

Annette (yeah, her of crystal bowl fame and all round great chick) is now working for me. What a godsend. Not sure how I coped without her actually. Think I probably wasn't coping looking back on it. Not easy to be a full-time mama, run a business, move house, have no man for support and have no family near you. Not easy at all. Now I've got an Annette, things do tend to run more smoothly!!

Anyway, Annette (ex Tree of Life chef) made Evie her first birthday cake which was obviously a raw creation. Lovely it was, and got gobbled up by allcomers, carnivorous or not, very quickly.

Muth was also a total superstar and made all the cooked food for the guests. She did a pasta bake and some vegan mates of mine were yumming it. And out comes Jane (who makes tuna pasta bake and forgets to put the tuna in it on regular occasions), and goes "Great tuna pasta bake" (obviously joking as there was no fishes in ma house. Said vegans nearly needed smelling salts to come round from such horrific thoughts. She had to explain. As you would.

Am v glad that Evie's not eaten anything cooked in her first year. Wondered if it'd be doable, but it's been really easy. Especially as she's still booboofixed. She's got a little tooth coming through today so has been all feverish, not nice but it happens. She doesn't suffer as much as cooked babies though as there's no inflammation.

Right, back to ceremony. At the end, we planted my placenta under a monkey puzzle tree. It'd been in the freezer for a year and I'd not seen it. I had a good old feel of it, loved it. It still had the bag that Evie came in attached to it. So beautiful. Didn't try to eat it as it'd be full of drugs from me having a C-section.

OK, gotta go. Me and Dean (he's staying with me for 2 weeks) are off to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Cambridge has a new cinema (not sure how new, I was out of touch for a while!), and we're gonna check it out. Fab. Now, must get bath.

Lots of love

26th August -- What a bonkers week. Something's up with the planets, as everyone I've dealt with this week has been a little weird... Anyway, roll on next week.

We've been doing a juice cleanse this week. Has gone mostly well, and I feel much better for it. Decided to eat like that all week then eat food at the weekends. Just need to add some nut mylks into the equasion and it'll be fab.

Since Evie turned 1, she's started to eat so much more. Suddenly she's asking for food and stuff. Her fave is raspberries and I've done her this fudge that has every nutrient known to man in it. V high in iron etc. She loves it. She also loves nut and seed mylks.

And, gotta say, Evie started walking yesterday!!!! How fab is that? She took a step the other day, then another and so on. But yesterday, she stood there, not holding on to anything and poised herself like a spaceman. She took a step, then another with the same leg (not got the hang of it!!) and then she took another and then a forth. Of course I screamed! She's done it a few times today and I caught it on pink phone camera. Fab. Looks so funny and I try to encourage her through the laughter.

Went to get Evie's new curtains and a throw today in anticipation of her ever having a room to herself instead of sleeping with mama. Saw them last week in Evolution "Oooh, I'll get them when I decorate" Then got excited about them and went back today and they were totally half price! Very excited about getting all that for just 32 squid. Got a Princess 4 poster bed and wardrobe off of Argos for her the other day. Now all I do need to do is decorate. Funny what taste some people have. It's not totally gross, just a lot older than the previous guys were. My muth and fath are older than they were but their house is done out lovely.

Rejoined the gym this week. Fab it is. Love the moments in the jacuzzi when I suddenly stop thinking and feel drunk with empty-headedness. Needed this like I need air. Realised how on edge I've been and how I've not been relaxed at all since way before Evie was born. Funny how life can get to you more than you really know and it ties you and turns you into something else. Anway, feel very very good today now. Am going to the gym while Evie has her morning sleep, so Annette works and keeps her ear out for Evie. Er, except on Monday when I took her to the gym's creche (first time with strangers), and I had a sauna and all that. Only lasted 50 mins before I walked into the creche, bikini'd and towelled going "s she alright?". Anyway, turns out she'd been following a boy around all the time. Like mutha like daughter.

Speaking of... Have had to put a picture of a pop-star bloke under my magic pyramid as am not getting any male attention which isn't making for a happy base chakra Shazzie. I know I've got a baby (read "fertility symbol") and I'm booboofeeding and I don't get out much, but man-abundance-angels, that's NO excuse. Am not going to heal up at 36! I refuse to!

Anyway, so am now thinking how I'm going to attract at least the base chakra part of a bloke into my life. Am not sure I want all other chakras of a man in my life right now, it may complicate me, but then again if Mr Rightly Perfect For Me appeared, I'm not likely to shoo him off, now, am I?

Now, it's a bank hoilday, parents want me to visit them, but Vera's broken her arm. Very apt really as I fell down the stairs last night, got a great big arm pain (silly small bruise that doesn't do the ow justice) and hurt my back too. So I drove home from said gym today and wound Vera's right window up. SNAP. Wondered what it was, then didn't think much more of it as was excited about seeing poppet (2 hours is a long time without her). A bit later today, drove to the Grafton Centre, and wound Vera's window up and SNAP. Ooooh, she's broke on the inside. Good on a bank hoilday, won't be able to get her fixed. Anway, window falls down when driving so may not be sensible to go to Gt Yarmouth on a broken Vera arm. May just have to stay here and look at Evie's new curtains.
