2004 -- February's snippetsA message from Auntie Beeb:
Jatinder rang today! She's going to be doing some workshops and lectures on raw food in Spain! I'm sooo excited for her. Good luck, beautiful soul sister. 16th February -- Oh, hello... Sorry, I've been a bit out of touch. Was doing my garage yesterday, sorting it out, then decided to move my beds round. Need to be careful not to lift anything heavy, but had to get beds sorted. Have decided to sell house and get a bigger one with Matt. I can't deal with a business, a baby and a bloke or anything else beginning with "b" here in my house, so move I will. Don't have a clue where, though... Oh, I'd love to move somewhere warm again, but we won't do that for another 2 or 3 years -- we want the baby to have its first few years here, and we want our families to be able to enjoy him, too. Anyway, so I got a bit melancholic sitting on my toolbox in my garage last night, and a tear fell from one of my eyes. I do love my home, and if I could stretch it I would. Ah well, I'll love my new home as much or even more and it'll be a totally different vibe -- one with gurgling, squeaking and baby bottom smells. And that's just Matt!!! OK, am about to have a busy week, so hope you have a lovely one, and please keep mailing us with your baby boy names, we still ain't there yet. Much love. Am beginning to hope he surprises us by being a girl, at least she'll get a name... 27th February -- Ah, what's going on? Am sitting here at 5am eating black mission figs, blowing my nose every 5 minutes. Something ELSE they don't tell you about pregnancy -- your nose gets all bunged up. I read this in t'internet the other day. Blimey, it explains a lot, like why I wake up at this ridiculous hour and have to wee, then blow my nose, and then by the time I'm all sorted, I'm not tired enough to sleep. I then either lie in bed, get to sleep about 7 and wake up at 10, or do what I'm doing now and just get up. Ah well, I can have an afternoon kip. Figs are great, though. Now then. I've been decorating over the last few days, just giving the house a lick of paint in areas. Then my back went. Got sciatica, which is wonderful. I had it years ago when I was a poor student sleeping on The World's Worst Mattress. I have been sleeping on a different mattress, so it could be that, and the decorating is coincidence. I've since got another mattress, and it's easing up. Matt looked it up on t'internet, and it said sciatica's common in pregnancy as your bones soften to make way for the baby. Great. Big belly and leg that feels like it's got a ball and chain attached to it. Ah, I also took a load of MSM, and that really seemed to help, so am overdoing that for a bit. Still blowing nose, figs are still great. Got a bag load of new products on my sales site -- most for the UK market. Goji berries, Vegan brain pak (that one makes my mum laugh), the wonderful Vita-Mix (mmmmm), Eating For Beauty, The Sunfood Diet Success System both by David Wolfe, Apricot kernels, Guarana, Threelac (great for candida), and still selling loads of the ionic/angstrom minerals. Fab. Am so glad I can bring this stuff to the mainstream -- makes a big difference to people's lives. Went out with Karen (O, who used to be Karen A) last night. Haven't seen her in ages as she now lives in Spain. Am hankering after sunshine. Hmmm. Anyway, we had a good catch up, and it was FREEZING when we got outside, as if the Universe was proving a point to me about the state of the British weather. Wouldn't surprise me if the government had something to do with the cold weather we've got at the mo -- they're mucking everything else up in the country. How about this: Maybe they've got a cold weather machine and they'll tax us to raise the degrees on it. Maybe I need more sleep. Anyway, with her and Jatinder, we could have a fab holiday in 2 places in Spain whenever we want. Now, that's v. appealing. Hmmm... I've felt Tiny wriggle in my tummy for about 3 or 4 weeks now. Apparently that's too soon, but I know what a sensitive soul I am! Now, last night, when I got into bed, I felt this thing, twice. So I put my hand on my tummy and I felt it again, once. It was a kick! More than likely it was a headbut, as his feet are so tiny still that I couldn't feel a real kick, but all the same -- it was an amazing feeling -- the first time I've felt Tiny on the outside of my body. Hope he does it again when Matt's around. Am not supposed to feel proper kicks for ages yet, so he might not. It could well have been a one-off. Oh, it was lovely. I bought some baby CD the other day. It helps their brains work better, and can shorten labour times. I'm all for that. I have to start it in a month or so, and it's got this calendar so you tick off what you've listened to. A bit organised for me, that, but will give it a go. And -- oh, I'm soooo excited about this... Neale Donald Walsh (of Conversations With God fame) is over in the UK, talking on May 18th. Am off to that!!! If you're interested, here's the site. OK, I think that's it. Still blowing nose -- have had my fill of figs now! Am going to go back to bed to see if I can sleep while sniffling... Poor neighbours. Much love and big kisses... |
