2003 -- June's snippets

Thursday 19th June -- OK, where do I start? I've abandoned you for so long, and some of you have pleaded for an update!

Well, I can't start at the beginning, that'd take far too long. So here's the very short version. I went on holiday to Maui on a raw retreat. I had a wonderful time, met some wonderful people, and will soon be putting up some wonderful photos. I promise.

Alex and meHung out with lots of raw people in the US, there are more over there than here, so socialising was much easier. It will change over here, it's just going to take time. It's my friend Sammy's birthday on Friday and we're all supposed to be going to the pub, but I just don't want to be in that world, much as I'd like to be sociable and say Happy Birthday to Sammy. Life was certainly easier in the US than here -- the food was so much fresher and tasted more nutritious, and no-one really thought I was bonkers. Ah well, I don't live there, I live here, so it's not an issue. It was a great holiday.

So I'm currently eating lots of wild greens out of my garden. Most of it is dandelion which I've been encouraging for some time. There's a spiky plant that has a similar flower to the dandelion and that's all over my garden. I keep having to shoo it away so dandelions can grow instead.

What they say about Shazzie's food prep

"Dear Shazzie, your Cucumber soup and Marinated mushrooms are
saving me!!...Holland will be saved!"

-- Margreet, Holland

Amsterdam event was a real hit! There were 50 people there, all for the whole day's event. I did food prep (new recipes) and talked loads, and we all did some exercises together. it was really great. Diana did a wonderful job promoting it! If you are in the Netherlands for the David Wolfe or Gabriel Cousens events, you'll have a wonderful time. Wow, the energy in the room was stunning -- very strong. Thanks to everyone who turned up. It was so great seeing some old friends such as Diana and the Fitt Family, as well as all those new ones!

Am feeling odd this week. Got a week to sort out my work that piled up while I was on hols, then I'm off round the country and a bit of Europe. This means I feel like I'm not really back, so there's not much point in me doing anything. Maybe I need a break from my break! Also feel a bit lonely, after spending so much time with people. Am a recluse, I know that, but a very sociable one. But am also accepting that's the life I've chosen for now while I get a load of life/work stuff together.

Am excited about next book! Am not saying what it is yet, but it's going to be a stunner. Am going to research it this year and write it next year. Don't know how long it'll be -- not sure if I want to write something as big as Detox Your World again. But who knows, it'll get all taken over by some great force, and will be the size it's supposed to be.

OK, so that's it. Not much of an update, I know, for this amount of time, but am pretty busy and have also decided I want to spend less time on the computer. My shoulder felt so much better on hols and so I don't want to undo all the good work.

So, have a wonderful day, and lots of love!

Friday 20th June -- Spoke to one of my mates today and she said I've got post-holiday blues. Well, that's never happened before! I think that could well be because this was my first real holiday in over 3 years, so I had a lot of relaxing to be doing. Yes, I know I just stared at a mountain in Spain for 5 months not long ago, but that was different ;-) I've always wanted to be on permanent holiday! I love my work and everything, and I also love the intensity of it -- I'm really not keen on what sitting at a computer does to my body though. Am making plans to alter all that. Anyway, I am feeling OK. Gotta go round Kazzie's tomorrow to do some washing as my washing machine's broken and I've got 6 week's worth of washing to do before I go away! That'll take all day, so I've sorted out some work to take with me! It's also decided the fact that I can't go to Sammy's birthday, as I'm working all night. Hmm!

Right, am off to do some more work -- mucho amor para todo el mundo xxxx
