2003 -- February's snippets 5th February -- Oh look, we're a twelfth of the way through the year already and I can still remember pulling my Christmas crackers! Well, sorry about the delay in updating, I've been in completion mode, which includes (wait for it...) I've finished my book!!! Now, don't get too excited, technically, this just means that it's in my editor's hands and I don't have to lay awake sweating at night, unable to sleep because I'm behind. Well, actually, I didn't do that anyway, I was just wanting to be a bit dramatic for a bit. It was actually such a pleasant experience, though I don't want to write another book as heavy as that for a long time. No, the next book brewing is much lighter and is going to be a coffee table book, a pure indulgence on my part, but a way to bring life and beauty into the worlds of another group of unsuspecting people. So, new book will be out as soon as it's edited, altered, proofread and printed. So sorry about the delay, but I'd rather that than it go out all not ready with bits missing, wouldn't you? Had my hair cut today. Went to the new Aveda salon in Cambridge, as it's about the most earth friendly place there is. She's made me look a bit tamed. Oh! And you'll never guess. My heating's broken, and I can't get it fixed until Friday. I've been sitting in a freezing cold house since Monday, just with an £8.99 fan heater from Tesco to keep me warm. Luckily I've got an electric back-up for my water, so I can wash. Blimey, it sent me back to when I was living on a farm in Spain with Balu, and I didn't have hot water or a loo or heating. I know it was Spain, but it just didn't matter there. England and me do sometimes fall out. I'm sooo English, I know that, but I want to be somewhere warm at least six months of the year. Please, angels, grant me my needless and selfish wish. Please. Oh, the thing the other day in the House of Lords. I can't believe this. I was just going into the loos and who's walking out of them? Maggie Thatcher! It was so odd, coz the first thing that registered with me was "Oh, I know her" so I went "Oh, hello", and then I realised it was Maggie and I didn't know what to do so I winked at her! Fancy winking at Maggie! Anyway, what was even more strange, was her vibe. This is a woman who was hated by millions in the UK, and her vibe and aura are beautiful! Very very odd. New food pics from Shazzie's detox delights! Now you can see what the food you're making is supposed to look like! February 16th -- Ah, it's 2 days after Valentine's day! Hope you had lots of good loving on your Valentine's day. I did, but it was all from myself! (No, not like that, naughty reader!!!) I had a wonderful bath, read some poetry, had a great meal and made some interesting promises to myself. Well, when you're on your own at certain times of your life, you have great opportunities to make big differences. So one thing I realised is that I have to be more honest with myself, my friends and my family. It's already causing waves, but they're good waves! I was telling Karen how I feel about her, and she was all taken aback. (not in a lessie way!) She said "Blimey, you are going for it, aren't you?" But it has to be done! I do believe a lot of it's down to the InnerTalk CD that I've been playing this month. It's called "Successful relationships" and it affects all relationships in your life, not just partner ones. So what's happening now is that I'm going round telling all my mates and rellies how much I love them! It's quite funny for an Aquarian to behave in such an open way, we do tend to guard our feelings more than this, that's if we recognise them at all! Anyway, so life's great at the mo. I love my new honesty policy, but watch out if you meet me, I'm going have to tell you what I think of you, and that might mean you end up smothered in kisses!!! So, happy Valentine's weekend to all, and much love to the world. Blimey, I love this world. Please, you warmongers, don't destroy it! Someone said to me the other day "Burn a Bush, plant a tree!" I thought it was a great sentiment, but perhaps Mr Bush just needs some love in his life? Who knows, eh. Let's send him some anyway? Maybe that'll diffuse the situation a bit. Ah, making love not war sounds like a great idea right now.... February 17th -- Just put up the piccies to food vid 3, for your mouth to dribble about. Have a goosey here. You have to scroll to the bottom to see them. Well, it seems like all my personal projects are running 2 months late. Not bad considering how few people are involved and what hard work it all is. Hey, after working in software for all those years, slipping 2 months is nothing. Anyway, if you've bought a set of the vids, you should have had an email by now from my lovely Val explaining that vid 3 will be delayed slightly. We're sending vids 1 and 2 out next week to all who've ordered, and putting a little pressie in there, too as a thank you. Saturday 22nd February -- Wow, had a great day. Joe, his mum and his brother Tony came over. They've bought a place near Cambridge, but on the river (Joe's mum is a boater). So we went over to their place and talked about interior design. I was feeling particularly like an interior designer, not just because people say I'm like Linda Barker, but also because I'd made my bath panel during the week and proudly displayed it to half of Joe's family this morning. Well, it is beautiful, all stars and glitter. I just want my house to look like my life, all shiny and lovely! Anyway, a few more hours on my bathroom and it'll be the most gorgeous bathroom in the world. Much love, if not much space will go into it. Now, Joe said to me "Hey, you and my mum have got something in common" I obviously asked what. "Well, you both love Eminem" Well, love might be an overstatement, but it's true, we both agree that Eminem is the 21st century Shakespeare. He's great, and even if he has some aggression, his lyrics are top notch. Not that I'm a rap fan, you understand. So me and Joe's mum played some Eminem songs while we all had lunch. Tonight I had a choice: Go to Dot Cotton (they gay club) or stay in. I decided to stay in and try to work out my telly. OK, I can understand the telly, it's all that cable business that I don't do. I used to be able to get Channel Health on 183 or something and I'd do the Yoga Zone stuff, but since BBC 3 came on line it went away. So tonight I found Sky and watched The Simpsons. For the first time I noticed that Bart is just like Eminem! All pretending to be hard, but actually being dead cute. Ah, those cute American Icons! So what else is new? Oh, I have a pain! I don't quite know what it is, but it hurts (as pain does). It's in my right thigh, and is an obvious result of sitting in one position writing for like a year! Well, I've been doing lots of yoga since I finished my book so hope that the pain will go away soon. V odd for me though, as I can't do the splits or anything. Hm. Must not write another intense book like DYW again in such short time. Though I've got such a great idea for my next intense book. Oh. Wish physical body was less of one, then all would be much easier. Spirit and mind work much better without it. Hm... OK, so you have the best Sunday in the world, and really enjoy the day. Remember to not live with fear, hatred, jealousy, disgust or distaste. And remember to paint your bath panel with stars today, it's fab! 27th February -- Oh, month of little days! February just goes so quick and then everyone goes "I can't believe it's March already, where does time go these days?" Hm. Maybe I'm spending too much time in post office queues listening to sweet old ladies. Maybe I am one? Where's my stick to hit people's ankles with? Talking of post offices, the people in there now call me JK Rowling coz of all the books I send! Likely, eh! Anyway. Got new carpets! So house looks a bit more like mine now. V excited about getting new sofas. They should be here in a couple of weeks, then the whole house will be beautiful again. Dirty filthy tenants -- you will never guess... We moved the spare bed to get the old carpet up, and there's vomit all down the wall, on the mattress and on a sheet! Hm. Must remember never to let my house out again. My lodgers were quite good, but these tenants were gross and really stinky! Ioniser's sorting the air out, nicely though. Got my fruit delivery today and the lad who delivers it pointed out that he'd lost weight. I went "Oh yeah, you have, how much?" 4 and a half stone, he says. Blimey, that's more than half of one of me! So I asked how he'd done it and he said it was a combination between some diet from the doctor and the recipes from Shazzie's detox delights! Blimey, I was stunned. I told him he'll have to go on my transformation page when he's lost a bit more. Am working my arse off at the mo. Getting the online shop sorted. It should be up and running in about 3 weeks if all goes according to plan. Call that 6 weeks, then, as everything has been delayed recently. I'm not griping, I'm just proving to myself that my talents lie in places other than admin and time planning ;-) So, I'm still waiting for the the book to come back from the editors. I so want it out there, but I know it'll happen, and this is a great lesson in patience for me. Oh, got another new set of vids coming out in a couple of weeks. We recorded my detox workshop, it was such fun, and the vid is great. I went through it the other day with the vid man. Got a lovely energy to it, and everyone in the audience shared a bit of their story to it. V nice. We've condensed it to 4 hours of footage, so it'll be 2 tapes sold together. How exciting. This time 2 months ago I didn't have any vids, now I'll have 5! Oh, got new speaking date, but not all the details yet. Amsterdam, Sunday June 15th -- all day workshop. More when I know more.
