2002 -- December's snippets
4th December -- Dad's birthday. Must try and remember. Oh I remembered! I was going to nip over and see him, but I'm a bit busy at the mo. Not, like I can't breathe, but like I'm enjoying organising myself again after my love-glitch. I lost about 3 weeks due to moping-about-the house disease, but BLIMEY have I bounced back stronger than ever. Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Daddy. Well, let's rewind a bit. Went to Pacha on Saturday night, what a lovely club. There weren't any monged out children sprawled all over the place or anything. We had to queue for an hour (obviously they didn't know who I am ;-) and then fight our way to the cloakroom, but after that it was wonderful. A v. good clubbing experience. Either clubs have cleaned up their act or it's just this club. The bouncers were great, keeping all the stairs free of people, there was a setteee and 2 rooms of very lovely dance music. I do believe it's the best club I've ever been to. Now, several years ago I went to Pacha in Ibiza, and I didn't enjoy it one bit, but I was going through my total breakdown at the time -- that could have something to do with it! Ah, I'm keen to return to this Pacha, though. Oh, I was chatting to some people who were supposed to be famous, except it was totally lost on me as one was a rugby player (I don't watch sport) and one was an actor (I don't really watch the telly), but it was great, all the same. Oh, except they were both 22. Neither would believe how utterly old I am, but then I don't either! Wow, fab night, that. Am now getting ready for the Fresh Winter Party, which is on in Ely on Saturday. Paul Nison's coming over especially, and there's going to be me, Kazzie, Pete and Mike Nash all hanging around. What more can you ask for? And, I've got the best lychees in the world from Tesco at the moment. Only thing is they are making my keyboard sticky. Must eat and work in different places.
Now, I do need to go make some crackers for tomorrow... Well, have a wonderful day and enjoy all that fluffy-pre-Christmas feeling that's prolific at the moment. Big kisses... 11th December -- Well, the Winter Party was a great success. About 60 or 70 people turned up, and we all ate a raw Christmas dinner, had party games, and had a v. sociable time. Of course, Santa turned up. And, not that I'm looking for a man right now -- am far too busy for all that, but there were no knights in shining armor with a trusty steed to whisk me off. Ah, that's good. I'm enjoying being a sad lonely old spinster at the mo. Went out for a meal with Karen (A) last night. Except now she's married, she's Karen (O), but that reminds me of my ex-work colleague, who was also Kareno. So I don't know. Why there are so many Karen's in my life is beyond me. And people say my name is common! Anyway, went to La Marg, and had lovely salad things. Then we went off to Henry's where they charged me just 10p for my water, and I think that was down to the large wedge of lemon in it. Got all my Christmas pressies online this year. Am about to wrap them today. Also am buying myself pressies, too. Well, many are for the house, but I don't like to get left out, so I'm going to wrap them up and open them on Christmas day. "To Shazzie, with love, Shazzie xxx" That works, doesn't it? OK, this is a short update, as I need to tidy my house then write. Must file nails first, though. They're so strong now they've not broken for ages and I can't type properly. Oh the joys of being a human woman. Have a great day xxx. 20th December -- Phew, it's a Saturday, so I can get on with some work in peace. I've had the most fab week, I've started decorating my bathroom. Bless it, it's been neglected, never been decorated since the house was built! I've got one wall done, it's Icelandic Blue and then I sprayed silver glitter onto it. I wanted the glitter to be a bit more obvious than it is, but it'll do. I want it all to look icy and cold and crisp. I also won a competition and got a lovely meditation CD through the post yesterday. Full moon strutting it's stuff. We had our video night on Thursday, it's so fab! I do say some daft things, but then it's me, so I expect that. The daftest thing is probably when I'm spooning bits of the Sticky blueberry muffins into the tins and I say "Make sure you put a nice blueberry amount in there" So we just need to know what a blueberry amount is. It gets better from there. So Skippy, my vid partner in crime is editing the second vid now, and then we've just got the last one to do and that's it. Project done. It's been a good one, I've so enjoyed it. Except I haven't enjoyed the washing up afterwards. Arun came over to watch the vid and we were up talking until 5.30am. We'll we've got so much to catch up on. Glad I let myself take a bit of a break yesterday. So today I'm looking at products to sell on Detox Your World, and faffing with paperwork. It's great though, as I'm semi-on holiday now. Anyway, I'm getting on with it now. See you all later, beautifuls. xxx 23rd December -- Lisa B's brithday. Must try and remember. 25th December -- Jesus' brithday. Will probably remember. Sho told me of a story when she was travelling, that the locals came to her place with gifts and one of them was to Jesus for his birthday! How lovely! That's all folks |
