Shazzie is a TV presenter, author and CEO. She's a director of three companies, a single mum and a Visionary In Paradise.

Shazzie's TV show

Shazzie's TV show is called Raw Kitchen and is broadcast on Sky 281, The Active Channel. It's Europe's biggest health and fitness channel. Her show is also broadcast worldwide via The Active Channel's web site. This is the first and only raw food TV show in the world. It's a "magazine" type show, where Shazzie interviews people, demonstrates recipes and gets out and about on the street showing viewers all the exciting things about raw food.

Shazzie's businesses

Shazzie is Managing Director (CEO) of Rawcreation Ltd, Director of Ecstatic Creation Ltd, and Director of The Community Project Ltd.

Rawcreation Ltd trades online as Detox Your World. It's Shazzie's raw food and superfood business, the largest of its kind in Europe.

Ecstatic Creation Ltd is Shazzie's virtual business, offering life changing products online.

The Community Project Ltd is the unique organisation where Shazzie lives.

Shazzie's books, DVDs, apps, programs and other creative ventures

Shazzie's passions lie in writing and offering straightforward information that helps people feel great about all aspects of their lives.

She is the author of five books, several programs and the hostess of Shazzie's VIP Room, an exclusive membership web site for visionaries.

In the summer of 2001, Shazzie wrote and published Shazzie's Detox Delights, the UK's first raw food recipe book. Shazzie said that book caused health by stealth. Not saying "Raw" on the cover helped ensure it would become a long-standing favourite with all health seekers, regardless of where their preconceptions lie. It's now a best seller, in its seventh edition, and continues to reach into the hearts of people who "accidentally" find Shazzie's web site. It is currently in its seventh edition, having being fully revised and rewritten.

Since the success of her first book, Shazzie has written and published Detox Your World, a 382 page mega-book covering all aspects of living a lighter life. It also contains over 100 new raw food recipes, as well as detox plans and loads of hints and tips. A fully revised and rewritten version of this book will be published in the USA by North Atlantic Books in the summer of 2012.

Shazzie then went on to make the three-part Shazzie's raw food DVDs to help people create delicious raw food and detox foods in their own home.

In 2005, Shazzie co-wrote her third book, Naked Chocolate (a full-colour raw chocolate extravaganza), with David Wolfe, the USA raw food guru.

In 2008, Shazzie's fourth book Evie's Kitchen was published. This was the result of four year's research on childhood raw food nutrition.

Shazzie's fifth book, Ecstatic Beings, co-authored with Kate Magic is a hyper-colour tour around the New World Reorder.

She’s also written two ebooks: the free Raw Britannia (part of her Make Raw Food Mainstream campaign) and the free Shazzie Whispers.

Rawcreation Ltd is the UK's and Europe's largest importer of certified organic raw chocolate and ecstatic food products (such as maca, goji berries, purple corn etc).

As an added bonus, Shazzie employs her parents, sister and around twenty other lovely beings. It has always been important to Shazzie that her work has a family feel to it.

As the co-founder of the raw chocolate revolution (with David Wolfe), Shazzie is really happy to have a range of raw organic chocolate bars (Temptress, Goddess, Siren, Intacta, Desire and Empress).

Where it all began

Shazzie was born in East Yorkshire, England on 23rd of January 1969, to Denise and Bryan, with a ready made big sister Jennie. She grew up with lots of animals, and loved them more than most people!

No more meat

In 1985, at the age of 16, Shazzie became a vegetarian. Two years later she was a vegan. This suited her feelings towards compassionate living, which was well worth the inconvenience.

Veganism didn't make Shazzie any more healthy, though who knows how bad things would have turned out had she continued to consume meat and milk? She'd already suffered a lifetime of feeling isolated, tired and unhappy, so by the time she was an adult this had blossomed into depression, lethargy and brain fog. The physical aches and pains were constant, as was the knowledge that she wasn't living the life she was born to live. In her late 20s, various events caused her to change her life: for good.

More raw stuff!

At the age of 29, Shazzie gave up grains for varying lengths of time and ate more salads and fruit. She is convinced this is why her "dive in at the deep end and go into 100% raw food overnight" experience felt like a toe-dip in warm water compared to what some people go through.

Becoming a raw foodist was an intrinsic part of Shazzie's journey towards mental, spiritual and physical freedom. Out went the house, the job, the country (for a while), the man, and the fear. In came exhilaration. For the first time ever, Shazzie was loving life. She felt like she'd been rebuilt in every way. No more crippling period pains, no more bad skin, back ache resolving itself, and finally (thankfully!!) no more depression. Shazzie had been seeking this happiness all her life. Only allowing positive energy into her body gave her this relief.

Since going raw, the changes in Shazzie's health and happiness have been enormous. She decided to document my first raw year in great detail on her web site. Then something amazing occurred…

In 2000, Shazzie's new web site started getting thousands of hits per week, and she was receiving letters from strangers saying that the information she had shared had changed their lives. This is when Shazzie realised that if we believe in something so strongly, if we believe that we can make a difference, we do. Because Shazzie.com changes lives, it also changes vibes, and the world loves that.

Shazzie's personal life

Very soon after starting on the raw path, Shazzie got into yoga. It quickly showed her the way to feeling more bliss, love and peace than food could alone. She practises some form of it most days, and to be honest, it's the one thing that keeps her sane!

In 2004, Shazzie gave birth to her beautiful daughter Evie. She was breastfed until her fourth birthday, she's unvaccinated, co-sleeps and is as natural as someone can be in the UK! She's happy, intelligent and very healthy.

Though undoubtedly one of the most dynamic and unique businesswomen in the UK today, Shazzie thrives in the realms of shamanism, spending much time in service to others while in ceremony. Her practise is one of holding presence and space, letting go of all that doesn't serve her. Attuned to Reiki in 2000, Shazzie is a regular attendee of ayahuascha and humane kambo ceremonies. She says her relationship with iboga saved her life after the shocking death of her lover in 2008.

Having lived in Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Leicester, Brighton and Spain, Shazzie calls the whole world her home. However, for now, she's grounded herself in a beautiful community in East Sussex. Her home is an eco-house, made of cedar. Its water and heating supplies are off-grid. She has the share of 23 acres of woodland and meadows to play in. There's even a community building for her to host events in. It is perfect, and took a whole heap of manifesting!

Evie and Shazzie had the vision for community a long time ago. Shazzie considered starting one, giving it a raw food focus. But it didn't resonate with her fully. When she saw a house available to buy in this community community in Sussex, she jumped at the chance. The story of how it happened is nothing short of a miracle and Shazzie has immense gratitude for it.

Health and fitness

Shazzie often quotes that no animals have been known to suffer depression when in the wild and so she advocates people get outside, and get grounded as much as possible. Shazzie grows a lot of her own food, forages and lives as close to nature as possible.

Shazzie's interest in yoga is still strong, but she now also partakes in working out with her friends and boxing. Of course, she wears pink gloves! "If you aren't fit and healthy, you can't reach your full potential and are selling yourself short.", she says.
